Welcome to Breezy Point Farm…

My name is Ann Lee. My husband Parks and I own Breezy Point Farm, where he grew up. It is located in the community of Hamburg, Alabama about five miles south of Marion in the heart of the Black Belt. While our home is in Birmingham, we are at the farm most weekends and more during the growing season.

The first thing I want to say is that I am not an expert, but I do love to learn knew things. The Master Gardener course was a great introduction, but I’ve learned even more by chatting with other gardeners and farmers and asking questions at local garden shops and nurseries. And of course, by trial and error.

Secondly, I want to say I don’t do all this work by myself! Parks is quite the Handy Dan. He has set up the in-ground, programmable irrigations systems for the garden and the orchard. He expertly drives the tractor to till my garden and clean up debris. He is a skilled carpenter and can also repair most things that are broken. He stays quite busy at the farm! When it’s time to plant or harvest, I hire students from Judson College and Marion Military Institute as well as local residents.

Breezy Point Farm has enabled me to do three things I enjoy - Learning, Growing and Sharing. I hope this website will encourage you in those areas as well! Thanks for visiting.
